VFW Members in good standing receive Automatic Personal Accident insurance protection at No Cost to the Member.
In the event of an injury or death from a covered accident the plan pays the following:
| For Death within one year of the accident | $1,000 |
| Loss of two limbs, two eyes or two feet | $1.000 |
| Loss of one hand, one eye or one foot | $500 |
| Loss of thumb and index finger on same hand | $250 |
If a covered members' death results from an accident while traveling to or from VFW sponsored events in a commercial vehicle an additional $1,500 will be payable for a maximum benefit of $2,500.
All benefits reduce by 50% at age 70, and by 50% again at age 75. Additional Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage can be purchased up to $100,000. Call 1-800-626-0027 for details.
